Gambhir’s appeal rejected

BCCI appears to be heading for a confrontation with the ICC over one-test ban on Gautam Gambhir. BCCI on the other hand has rejected the outcome of appeal. But ICC also took a stand and said “matter is closed”

M Vijay, of Tamil Nadu has been called as a replacement for Gambhir, for the fourth Test against Australia. This has come as a big shock to in form Gambhir, who is the highest run scorer for the series, by 463 runs, including a century and double-century.

Gambhir lost appeal because of few reasons, which according to me as as follows

1. Video evidence clearly shows that he had deliberately elbowed Watson.

2. He pleaded guilty to the charges and had appealed only against the penalty.

3. He is guilty of a previous offence in last 12 months.

I would appreciate your views on this, hope to get few comments on this what you think about this?
